Birthdays

My baby turned 2 months old 3 days ago. So, I took him outside last night for a little photo shoot. He still has his baby blue eyes and I believe he just may have blonde hair! His roots are blonde and his hair is way lighter than my girls' hair was...so I've got my fingers crossed.

He loves to be held still - much to my delight! My friend has let me borrow her moby wrap and it's his favorite - whenever I wear it it puts him right to sleep. I'm so glad he's my little buddy.
Sweet little booties Mrs. Farnsworth crocheted for him. Aren't they so precious on him?

He's getting so big...weighed 12 lbs at the doctor's 2 weeks ago!

There's the poochy lip. "Done with this picture thing mamma - put the camera away!"

I'm so in love with this little boy. I truly thank God every day for gifting him to me. I love you, Keller Reagan!
******************************
My mom's birthday was also yesterday. I took a trip to the zoo with the kids so I didn't get a post up like I wanted to. But better late than never is very much my motto these days. =)

My wedding day - My brother Isaac walked her down the aisle.

At the softball field with Chloe...cheering my dad on and the whole Westgate team...such good memories.

My mom, along with my dad, is probably one of the most sacrificial people I know. I didn't start realizing till I got married and started having children of my own. Isn't it sad how that happens? They pour their lives into you and you don't start to really appreciate them until you're out of the house.

My mom was/is always fun. We kids all laugh at how she always says before we leave to go anywhere, "Have fun!" She's learned you should not necessarily always say that to your kid.

Although my mom is not perfect, I'm thankful for how she lives out the Bible. There is no act or performance going on. She wants to be more like Christ. Isn't that the best thing you could ask for in a parent?

I'm thankful for practical things she passed on to me - organization, healthful living, how to spot a bargain at the thrift store or yard sale, decluttering, (for all those bargains that start to take up too much space) scrap booking, cooking for large groups, managing large amounts of laundry, hospitality, teaching your children throughout the day, and the importance of keeping balance in your life. Maybe one day I'll be like her. =) Love you mom!!!

Love those photos of your mom -- she does look amazing! She looks like she could be in her early 30s. I miss her sweet influence at church.

Happy birthday to Mrs. Lloyd! Also, is her birthday the 7th? That's my dad's birthday too! =) Your little Keller is adorable...you will love having a little man. Just wait until he's your protector like Jack is starting to do. Luke will tease me and Jack says "she's MY mommy!" =)

Yes-her birthday is the seventh. I LOVE having a boy. And the funny thing is, I was so content with girls. Now I can't imagine life without him. =)
